Bhakti Institude of Hotel management and Culinary arts (BISC),Chennai proudly offers a series of short term courses on cooking for the students of class 9th and above which is first of its kind in the country today. We normally send our children for learning cricket, music, swimming etc which is of a little use on a day to day basis except for a very few whom really passionate to become the best. Bhakti School really believes that if a student learns how to prepare simple and healthy dishes, at home, necessary on a day to day basis will be of enormous help not only to him but also to his family and friends for the rest of his life. To learn cooking is not a time pass like other extracurricular activities but a brilliant skill to be acquired as a student which will contribute to his independence and healthy living.

Our registration starts from 10th March 2011, Thursday in our school premises at Hastinapuram from 7am to 12 noon and the classes are scheduled to commence from 6th of April and will continue till 4th of June 2011. The school will provide the necessary protective clothing for the candidates during the practical class and they will have a choice either to consume the food in the production laboratory or carry the food to their home.
 
We would like to request the parents to accompany the wards to the school for the registration and sign the course formalities. For more details contact us as per address below. Career Prospective:
In 2005, culinary chefs in general earned an average of $12.79 hourly. However, executive chefs and those working in private kitchens can earn up to $26.75 an hour. Wages are largely based on location of employment and kind of establishment culinary chefs work in.
